Soil humus (humus) as a matter composed of a mixture of organic compounds and mineral-organic complexes is one of the fundamental elements of the solid phase of soil, conditioning many of its physical and chemical properties, affecting, among others soil structure, ion sorption and water retention, as well as building optimal conditions for the development of soil microorganisms.
The main organic compound that builds up soil humus are humic acids: humic and fulvic as well as humines (together they constitute over 60% of soil organic matter) of isolated humic acids used as a fertiliser and soil improver in organic cultivation is a known practice and finds use in many countries, especially in sandy soils.
Their use is to enhance the output of arable soils, and thus to increase crop yield.
In certain cases, they are also used in the course of reclamation of soil intended for plant cultivation, e.g. in situations of excessive soil salinity to limit the possibility of taking up toxic elements by crop plants.
The literature also mentions effects in the form of plant root stimulation, ion uptake, including Na+, Ba2+, K+, NO3– and SO42-, and regulation of plant metabolic processes.
Our product: Florahumus is a response to the needs of today’s agriculture and an expression of our of our land.
Florahumus has a positive effect on:
- soil structure;
- water retention;
- soil sorption;
- heavy metal chelation;
- natural moisturizing and sealing;
- improving the absorption of nutrients;
- mitigation of plant stress
